In January 2014 The White Lion Inn underwent a total refurbishment to the exterior and interior building providing a rustic and cosy atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. At The White Lion Inn we have eight centrally heated en-suite rooms comprising of five doubles, one twin, one family room and one single, all decorated and furnished to a high standard with double glazed windows. The three market towns of Oakham, Stamford and Uppingham are within easy reach as are the larger cities of Peterborough, Leicester and Nottingham. We are just two miles from Rutland Water which offers a range of activities cycling,windsurfing,fishing,walking,sailing and birdwatching. There are lots of interesting and historical country houses, castles and estates including Burghley House, Rockingham & and Belton House (NT). We are easily accessible by road, being only five minutes drive from the A1. Check in times are between 4pm and 8pm and departure by 10.30am. We operate a NO-SMOKING policy indoors.
