About the club
Derbyshire were founded in 1870 and joined the County Championship in its early years. The Falcons divide selected home fixtures between Derby and the traditional festival venue at Chesterfield.

Cricket has been played at Repton School since the 19th century. Derbyshire first used the ground for senior one-day cricket in 1988 and returned in 2026.
