About the club
Durham were founded in 1882 and became a first-class county in 1992. They quickly established themselves at the top level, winning three County Championship titles between 2008 and 2013.

About the ground
Opened in 1995, the Riverside became Durham's home shortly after the county gained first-class status. It staged its first Test match in 2003.
